Please note that, as usual, this report was compiled by a different set of judges to those who carried out judging in the District (first) Round of the Competition.  Consequently there may be some differences in comments and recommendations, and almost inevitably in the scores.  Despite providing all the judges with the same guidance there will inevitably be a subjective component to their assessments.  The key issue is that when any village is compared directly against others, that comparison is carried out by the same judges.

Congratulations on being placed third in the Small Village category in Wiltshire.

I hope that you will be encouraged to enter next year’s Competition, which I shall begin to publicise around the end of this year.  I shall also be refining the guidance that I shall be providing for villages and for judges in the light of any comments made this year.
