Road Closure

Note message below about a culvert repair on Cloatley Road sometime next year involving a 6-week road closure.

Also they will close it for one day sometime in Oct/Nov this year to do detailed assessments, and they’re asking whether there’s any particular day to avoid.

Dear Mr Bromley Gardner

Dolmans Cottage Culvert, DN160 – Proposed Culvert Replacement Works

Parish of Hankerton, Wiltshire SN16 9LQ
Grid: 398495-190628

I would appreciate it if you could advise your Parish Councillors and Parish Members we are preparing a scheme to replace the above culvert. Please find attached a location plan, proposed diversion route plan and photos taken recently.

The culvert replacement works are provisionally programmed for Spring/Summer 2019 and we would expect these works to take 4-6weeks to complete under a full road closure.

Unfortunately, due to the limited verge widths it is unlikely there will be no pedestrian, cyclist or equestrian access through the site during the works.

1 Day Closure – DATE TBC

In order to progress the outline design works we require a 1 day full road closure to determine the existing details.

Dates are yet to be confirmed and if there are any dates during October or November that should be avoided please let me know.

We would like to ensure our works do not cause significant inconvenience to local users and ask anyone who is likely to be affected to contact me as below.

If you require any further information please let me know.

Best regards
Emma
