Following Wiltshire’s reorganisation of waste collection, we should be having a bin collection this Wednesday (9 March).
However…..there’s industrial action….. here’s what the Wiltshire County website says :
It has been confirmed that some Hills Municipal Collection workers are due to take industrial action from 7 March, and this is likely to cause some disruption to household waste, recycling and garden waste collection services. However, we are working with Hills to minimise the impact as much as possible. This planned industrial action is completely out of our control.
Please continue to put your bins out by 7am on your scheduled collection day. If you’re not sure what day your collections are, visit the scheduled collection day and enter your postcode.
If a bin is not emptied as scheduled due to the planned industrial action, or because of any other issues, then please leave it out and it’s expected it will be emptied the following day where possible.
If there are any significant disruptions to services we will update this notice, or please keep an eye on our Twitter feed.
We’re pleased to say that so far our new waste collection rounds have gone incredibly smoothly, with very few issues reported, so thank you for your support. This gives us confidence that should there be any disruption caused by the planned industrial action we will get back on track very quickly.
