There’s news here about bin collections next week – essentially all collections are a day later than normal. (After New Years Day all collections are back on the usual timetable.)
There’s also information about the ‘scrunch test’ for wrapping paper which I’ve not heard of before (if it will scrunch into a ball and hold its shape it is paper and can be recycled, if it doesn’t hold its shape it contains other material and should not be put into the paper recycling).
The Hankerton Carol singers will be singing and bringing festive cheer around the village TONIGHT raising money for the Malmesbury Food Bank.
Please join us – only enthusiasm needed! We will be meeting at 6:30pm at the entrance to Follyfield. There might be a few mince pies on the way round the village too!! 🎄🎄
The Parish Council and others have been thinking of ways to help people in what could be a few difficult weeks between now and Spring.
The PC have published a letter (see below) and I’ve created a new page on the website under the “Useful Links” heading.
The idea of all this is for people to look out for others that might need assistance and use the various contacts to help.
In particular, in the next few weeks it may well be the case that people need a lift to / from medical appointments, or help getting shopping in bad weather conditions. There are a number of people that would be more than happy to help and I’m hoping the page should help people “connect”.
Hello all. Unfortunately due to the icy conditions we are going to have to postpone the Hankerton Carol Singing around the village scheduled for tonight until next Tuesday 20th Dec at 6:30 pm. We want to make sure all our carollers can safely get round the village. Thanks to all that offered mince pies – we hope you can save them for next week instead 🎶🎄🎄🤶 ☃️
