Best Kept Village Competition

From : Michael Bromley Gardner

Hankerton has entered the Wiltshire Best Kept Village competition 2023. Judging will be in the period mid-May to mid-June. This is not a ‘best hanging baskets’ competition, or a ‘prettiest front gardens’ competition. The key point for most of us is – don’t leave any litter lying around, don’t drop any litter and if you see any pick it up.

Ukrainian Guests In Hankerton

Two photos of the stellar work of Alexander and Yelysei helping the village. They also cut the grass in the community area next to Old Farm Close.

“Ask not what your community can do for you but what can you do for the community”!

Look forward to seeing everyone at the Coronation celebration on Sunday 7th May

Best wishes Dai

Reminder For Dog Owners

From : Kate Nurden

Just a reminder to  please clean up after your dog.  It is not nice stepping in dog feaces on the verges when your moving out of the way of cars. Please use the bin provided by the bus shelter rather than it hanging in the Hedges.

We have a beautiful village let’s not spoil it 😉

Easter Coffee Morning

From : Peter Wyman

There was a good turnout of villagers for the Easter Coffee Morning – coffee, Easter biscuits and hot cross buns were enjoyed by all! And the weather was so kind to us we did it all al fresco.
