Carol Service – This Sunday 5pm

Update ! I forgot to post the time ! 5pm

From Philip Carter

The annual Carol Service is in the church on Sunday.

There will be a small choir and, as a special extra this year, we have a professional saxophonist called Christopher, who will make a welcoming sound as you arrive and play a solo during the service.

At the end of the service, there will be our usual mulled wine and mince pies. We look forward to seeing lots of villagers of all ages.

The church will be warm🔥.

Parish Council Website – New Name

From : Michael Bromley Gardner (Clerk to the Parish Council)

  • The Hankerton PC website has a new website name – www.hankerton-pc.gov.uk, effective now.
  • I recommend that all residents ‘follow’ the website.  You will not be plagued with a mass of messages – I produce very few – but even if you really don’t want to know anything about what the PC are going to discuss at the bi-monthly PC meetings, at least you might like to know when planning applications affecting the village or parish  are published.
    • For example, I’ve just published a notice of the planning application just arrived about Plot 11 Follyfield.
  • If you have received my news about Plot 11 Follyfield, you are signed up to receive the alerts – excellent.  If you haven’t received it, that means you are not signed up to the new website.  If you would like to receive notices about new planning applications, log onto the website and click the blue button on the right hand side that reads ‘Sign up to our email alerts’.

Flood Warning Signs – thief tracked down !

For those of you, like me, that wondered about this “crime”…

The getaway car was spotted ! An official Wiltshire Council vehicle…. I guess they wouldn’t fit in the boot of a Mk II Jag….

Anyway, many thanks to David Pynn for tracking it down – Michael (Parish Clerk) is requesting their return from Wiltshire Council.
