The Hankerton Marathon in June raised money for the Welfare Fund for individuals and families in Malmesbury and surrounding villages. The generous donations have made a difference to families in and around Malmesbury. This is another appeal from HEALS and I hope some people in the village feel they can respond to this and help others less fortunate than themselves.
Thank you, Susan Mockler
We hope you and your loved ones are keeping safe and well in these trying times.
Our local charity HEALS, that did such a great job supporting vulnerable local individuals and families in lockdown, now has an unique opportunity to do even more, as Covid cases sadly start to rise again. To do this they need our help and they need it now.
Heals has been chosen as the only Malmesbury welfare charity to get direct Covid 19 cash support from the national charity, the Localgiving Foundation.
For a few days only Localgiving are doubling the value of any donation made to Heals. This means any donation you make, up to a limit of £75, will be DOUBLED by Local Giving.
For example, if you give £25, the charity will receive £50, plus the gift aid on the original donation amount if you tick the box as a UK tax payer. That adds another 25%.
Since, lockdown Heals is dealing with a big increase in local people and families struggling to pay bills, meet their rent and put food on the table. As a result Heals has launched its first ever Winter Welfare Appeal, to make sure no local individual or family has to choose between heating or eating.
If you can help, please act fast as the Localgiving doubling fund is both time and cash limited. Their fund is only open until 10am on Tuesday 3 November, or sooner if their doubling fund runs out before then.
Please help Heals to help others. Go now to https://localgiving.org/appeal/winterwelfare
Remember ever £1 given now will be doubled by Localgiving. Heals will certainly make very good use of this money to help local people.
